Sophie Cayless  finds much inspiration in nature and enjoys sharing this with others. As a former park ranger and naturalist, she accomplished this by leading walks and programs; as an artist she hopes to convey nature's beauty and wonder by visual means.  Sophie wrote and illustrated Beaver Tales in cooperation with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and painted a large wildlife mural for Haleakala National Park.  More recently she illustrated Skuggs: The Patriot Squirrel who Helped Save America for Independence National Historical Park, and Belle's Wild Ride in cooperation with The Cleveland Museum of Art.
