Sophie Cayless specializes in nature illustration, and designed graphics for many parks, including a large Hawaiian wildlife mural and the children's picture book Beaver Tales. She has also illustrated Sophie's Stuff and does commissions. She teaches art to children and adults, and previously worked as a park ranger and naturalist.
